2008 was the BEST year of my life. I can't really remember how it started. But by spring I was doing my GCSEs. I remember although we didn't get an official study leave we all used to bunk off up the gun gardens and 'study.' And we got away with it. School was just such a doss because all lessons were 'revision lessons,' which basically mean do fuck all lessons. May was hard as it was the first time in my life I lost a family member but exams helped me take my mind off that. Summer was just as fab. We'd spend it by the river eating chips or we'd go down to Hastings and have donuts by the sea and we never got fat because we were so active. I'm just writing this because I'm listening to songs that were the soundtrack of my year that year. Here are a fewwww:
Yeah, so our music taste wasn't that fab but it was just a great summer. The year continued to be fab and I started a new college in September. It was time to start fresh as a lot of people from my school had gone to a nearer college (the failing college.) And it was a new start. I met so many great people who were still kind of local to me and I'm still in contact with a lot of them. It was hard at one point because I lost another family member but again I had plenty to distract me.
It was just an indescribable year. I think it was the year where I finally discovered myself and realised who and what I wanted to be. I wish I could go back and live that year so much. I loved it.
